Open Farm School Days

Open Farm School DaysExtending the reach and impact of LEAF’s Open Farm Sunday, Open Farm School Days run throughout June.

The aims of Open Farm School Days are to inspire children and teachers and to encourage a lifelong love of the countryside with a better understanding of food production and healthy eating.

Farmers are encouraged to take part in Open Farm School Days to increase the overall number and quality of farm visits throughout June.

FACE is working with LEAF to train farmers who open their premises for school visits, to ensure they maximise curriculum links and raise awareness amongst teachers of the wide range of learning opportunities on a farm.
